Tonight was a girls’ night. AHHHH finally! I didn’t have to cook, didn’t have think about what to cook, or worry about what we are going to eat if I didn’t cook. The girls and I met up at a martini “lounge” down the street from the house. Wednesdays they have half priced martinis and tapas, so you can double the amount you would normally drink right? They have a pretty good selection of martinis on their menu along with a decent choice of tapas to choose from, although I don’t think many people were paying much attention to the food. Although, I did try their crab dip, not sure how it fits into the whole Spanish tapas thing, but I am going to have to try and make it because it was ridiculously good. They served it with warm pita bread.
I tried the Passion Martini which had sugar around the rim of the glass, really sticky once it started dripping down my glass. I also tried Absolutely Impeared which is the green martini pictured above.
Passion Martini – not exactly how they make it, but it won’t be as sweet
2 parts Peach Schnapps
2 parts Vodka
1 part Pineapple Juice
1 part Cranberry Juice
I would omit the sugar around the rim!
Absolutely Impeared – again not their drink recipe, I got this one from Absolut’s website
2 parts Absolut Pear
1 part Sprite
1 part Melon Liqueur
1 Part Sour Mix
Cherry or Lime, Flowers and Umbrellas!
Sounds like a lot of fun! I love martinis and tapas – together it must have been some night! Love the orchid garnish too!
Welcome to The Foodie Blogroll! :)
Mmm…’absolutely impeared’ just might be my favorite martini. I love your blog. It makes me so hungry!
Love you!
